Alikoto Restaurant

Accra keeps getting filled with new restaurants every now and then and we are beyond excited because there can be no such thing as too many restaurants? This section aims to update you with the latest restaurants and events in town
We decided to check out a new bar in Accra by name of Alikoto, we had a chat with one of the managers called Papa K and asked what the bar was about he explained it was a bar and grill based on our fondest memories growing up hence we have names of drinks being pilolo, pampana etc. Papa K explained the bar aimed to create a nostalgic vibe from the 90s so it wasn’t surprising only music from this era was playing. We tried out a few drinks like the pilolo and alongside some side meals being yam and pork and jollof and chicken. If you’re into the vibe Alikoto seeks to provide kindly pass by and let us know what you think! It is important to note Alikoto is mainly a bar and has a calm serene environment perfect for catching up after work

Maachi Desserts

Desserts are considered sweet endings to meals. These days, desserts are becoming an industry on it’s own in Ghana and we are here for it!  And to add to our glee over the dessert/cake industry a new dessert business by name of Maachi desserts is in town. Maachi desserts was officially launched on the 2nd of February 2018 at the Labadi beach hotel. It was a night of sumptuous desserts and unlimited supply of champagne. We had the opportunity to taste many of their desserts and we undeniably loved them , especially their cheesecakes. “Maachi” is an Akan word meaning “Good morning”,  and since it aims to bring the best of both worlds from Ghana and the USA it is not surprising the name has been given a little American twist. We believe Maachi desserts is going to make a lot of impact in the dessert game in Ghana. If you love desserts as much as we do keep an eye out for them! And one way to do that is to pass by, Maachi dessert is located at P&S plaza, Freetown Avenue in East Legon.
